DAIRIES, SUPERETTES, SUPERMARKETS AND FOUR SQUARE

These businesses come in all shapes and sizes.  Very popular especially if accommodation is attached. Over the years we have sold untold businesses of this nature.  The very first sale recorded by Clyth MacLeod Business Sales that I can find dates back to 3 December 1973 and this business was sold for $18,500 with commission payable for the transaction of $512.50. Our company went on from there and has sold hundreds if not thousands over the years.  There are certain elements to keep in mind when looking to purchase a dairy superette type business.  Sales, need to be of a level that will reward you with at least a modest wage.  Many business owners enjoy the benefit of having accommodation and the conversing, friendship they have with their customers.  Safety and security is paramount and most owners have this well planned.  Cigarette sales can be a plus or a minus depending on the level of sale of other products.

With the year we have experienced and lock downs the locals have become more supportive of their local dairy which is heartening to see.

A dairy superette store has the ability to add complimentary products, such a flowers, fruit and vege, cards and lotto etc.  Dairies often are not light and bright.  There is the potential for more style and flair to be introduced into the humble dairy superette.
