Lifestyle – Buying a business outside Auckland

New Zealand is a beautiful country. We offer an abundance of choice of lifestyle. The hustle and bustle of the big cities and the relaxed lifestyle options of the countryside, seaside, and mountainous areas. There are some inherent financial advantages in choosing to buy a business outside of Auckland. Whilst not exclusively so, this is particularly relevant in the Food and Hospitality sectors where commercial rents are typically so much cheaper in the retail areas, competition is likely to be less ferocious and there is generally greater local support for local businesses and product. The resultant greater trading cash surplus is certainly attractive enough, but it doesn’t just stop there. Add to this the scenario of less travel time to and from work with less associated costs and, more importantly, the likelihood of far cheaper housing locally, you will then have a business owner who has a far greater discretionary income to spend on lifestyle.

You may choose to combine your hobbies and interests with a business of choice. Sports and leisure, tourism and accommodation and food and beverage to name a few. This part of our website brings to you a taste of what New Zealand has to offer.

New Zealand along with the rest of the world is experiencing the uncertainty of the impact of Covid 19.  This is a worrying time for all. Here in New Zealand we are very fortunate in that we seem capable of mitigating the danger of this pandemic to a degree and we are still seeing businesses change hands.  There are many business options that can safely operate and provide and income for the business owner.

Perhaps an option would be to choose an idyllic lifestyle on the East coast of the Coromandel Peninsula where life can be lived at your own pace, where the people are friendly and have the time of day for you, where there’s no city noise, traffic lights or wasting the day away sitting in peak-hour traffic.

There are a multitude of beachside communities, seaside resorts, ocean beaches and outlying islands, farmers markets on the weekend, or go kayaking, fishing, diving, or snorkeling, it really is a boatie’s paradise. Pop down to the nearby beach at lunchtime for a swim or for a surf, or maybe visit the hot water beach.

You might enjoy walking or tramping, or just a stroll.  There are bush walks, waterfront walkways, nature and landscapes catering to all.

We may all be living in today’s world, but it is still possible to live a bit of the old-fashioned Kiwi lifestyle.
